Everything on this site is general information. It is not advice on your specific property, your specific plumbing or your specific water supply. Plumbing regulations, water quality and property circumstances all vary, and nothing here substitutes for a qualified professional inspecting your installation.

Where we describe work as suitable for DIY, that is an assessment of typical difficulty. It is not a warranty that you can do it safely, and it does not relieve you of the duty to comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 or their Scottish and Northern Irish equivalents.

About installer listings

• A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a guarantee of competence.
• Where we mark an accreditation as verified, we mean an editor checked the official public register on the date shown. It is a point-in-time check, not ongoing monitoring — registrations can lapse.
• Where an accreditation is marked as claimed, we have not checked it.
• We cannot verify insurance, because there is no public register of it. Always ask to see the certificate.
• Do your own checks. Verify accreditation on the official register, ask for insurance, take references, and get three quotes.

For installers

• Listing is free. We take no commission on your work and we do not sell your enquiries.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of everything in your listing. Listings found to contain false accreditation claims are removed, and we may decline future listings.
• You must hold the qualifications, registrations and insurance appropriate to the work you offer.
• We may edit a listing for clarity, length or house style, and may remove a listing at our discretion.
• You confirm you are authorised to submit the business's details and to publish them here.
