Claim your profile

If we have created a listing for your business from public sources, you can claim it — and once you do, it is yours to correct, update and control.

How we verify a claim

We need to be reasonably sure you are who you say you are, because handing a business listing to the wrong person is a genuine harm. Any one of these is usually enough:

• Business email domain — claim from an address at the business's own domain and we can usually verify it immediately.
• Companies House — give the company number and we check the officers against the public register.
• Phone verification — we ring the number already published on the listing.
• Document upload — a utility bill, insurance certificate or headed invoice showing the business name and address.
• Manual review — where none of the above fits, a person looks at it. This is slower but it is not a dead end.
